CADD Technicians, Denver, CO

Jviation has a great opportunity for full-time CADD Technicians to support the pursuit of planning and engineering projects in our Colorado office.

Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment and possesses the initiative, desire and leadership to continuously improve. This candidate will be expected to work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, and Planners on various airport development projects.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 4+ years experience as a drafter, able to perform non-routine and complex drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques.
  • Works independently with occasional advice from supervisor and may direct efforts of less-experienced drafters.
  • Fluent in AutoCAD v. 2012 and/or 2014.
  • Experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D and/or AutoDesk Revit a plus.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation a plus.
  • Airport/airfield design experience a plus.

Marketing Coordinator, Denver, CO

Jviation has a great opportunity for a full-time Marketing Coordinator to support the pursuit of planning and engineering projects.

Position Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing Manager and other management and technical personnel to implement the firm’s marketing plan and to win new work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development and production process for proposals, SOQs, and presentations. This will involve planning and scheduling the submittal; analyzing RFP requirements to ensure compliance; researching, writing, and editing submittal documents (including technical); coordinating subconsultant information; QA/QC review; production, and final delivery/distribution.
  • Research of client markets and/or specific projects to collect and compile data.
  • Interview personnel for the subsequent writing and editing of such items as resumes, project descriptions, and management and technical documents.
  • Write, edit, research, and input data to the marketing database(s) (e.g., resumes, project descriptions, boilerplate material, client information).
  • Plan, conduct and coordinate a range of marketing support activities, such as awards submissions and presentations.
  • Plan/coordinate special events and conferences.
  • Work with team to develop and implement social media campaigns, from conception through promotion.
  • Perform various administrative duties, such as filing and data entry, to support marketing efforts.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • At least three years experience in marketing, business development or communications for an architecture, engineering or construction firm.
  • An understanding of the proposal/SOQ process for a professional services firm.
  • Detail-oriented, very organized, and capable of completing multiple tasks at once.
  • Ability to write and edit marketing and technical documents.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Conscientious and flexible, with a great work ethic and team-player attitude.
  • Ability to self-manage and acquire necessary resources for completion of tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Adobe InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
  • Graphic editing experience in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus.

  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • Applies prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks.
  • Performs routine technical work which does not require previous experience.

This position is for a project engineer / construction manager (5-10 years) in the civil engineering field. The position involves field construction observation of public / private projects to establish conformance with plans and specifications.   • 5 – 10 years of engineering or construction administration experience.
  • Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
  • Works on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features.
  • Must be able to thoroughly document problems and resolutions.
  • Provide regular progress reports to project manager.
  • Write daily and weekly construction project reports and maintain quantity book.
