Jviation is a privately-owned firm incorporated in the state of Colorado that focuses solely on the aviation market and airport-related projects. The firm's management team consists of Principals Jim Fluhr, P.E., J.D. Ingram, P.E., and Jim Trott, P.E., who have spent their careers serving airport clients throughout the Rocky Mountain Region and United States. The firm is comprised of 39 full-time professional, technical and administrative staff.
Jim Trott, P.E.--Principal
Jim Trott has 21 years of engineering and construction experience in the planning, design and construction of airport projects across the United States. His expertise in the management of airport improvements, including airside, landside, and facility-related development projects ensures successful results that meet airport, local community, and FAA goals. He provides a technically strong engineering background with specific expertise in airport development of runways, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons, terminal buildings, hangars and roadway systems.
As a Principal in the firm, Jim also serves as President and Engineering Manager for Jviation, Inc. His corporate responsibilities include the day-to-day management of project managers, engineers and designers. He provides the overall design schedules and works with the project managers to balance staffing needs.
J.D. Ingram, P.E.--Principal
J.D. Ingram has 18 years of engineering experience in airport design and construction, heavy civil design and construction, and land development. His project management responsibilities encompass airport development projects from preliminary planning and design to preparation of bid packages, resolution of construction conflicts, construction administration, and management of staff and resources. J.D. has been the project manager on more than one-hundred projects totaling over $400M in construction value. These projects include terminals and concourse development, runway and taxiway rehabilitation, airfield lighting and navigational aid improvements, and land acquisition and fencing. As a Principal in the firm, J.D. also serves as Treasurer and overall Business Manager for Jviation, Inc. and handles the day-to-day financial management of the company.
Jim Fluhr, P.E. – Principal
Jim Fluhr is a civil engineer with 22 years of experience in airport design and development. His passion for aviation began when he worked for Continental Airlines at the old Stapleton Airport. His airport engineering career began as an onsite resident project engineer on several large airside construction projects. Jim also has vast experience as a project design engineer on projects ranging from new construction to rehabilitation of existing runways, taxiways and air-carrier aprons. He has been the project manager on numerous projects ranging from a new terminal building to airside and landside improvements. As Principal in the firm, Jim also serves as Secretary and Marketing Manager for Jviation, Inc. He leads the overall marketing strategies and works with staff on business development activities, including proposals.
